About Amina

Hello and welcome!

My name is Amina Elfiki and I’m Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute in 2017.

I began my relationship with psychotherapy as a client–first in individual therapy, later in couples and family therapy as well. Although I initially came looking for help managing stress and exhaustion from my nonprofit job, I continually discovered old wounds that had never completely healed, aspects of myself and my life experience that I had never explored.

I am the child of Pilipinx and Middle-Eastern/SWANA immigrants, and a Midwesterner by birth. I have lived in the Bay Area since 2007. I am a queer, polyamorous transgender woman, a partner and a co-parent. I am an intersectional feminist. I am dedicated to the pursuit of a more just world, and to acting in solidarity with struggles against capitalism, white supremacy, heteropatriarchy and ableism. My pronouns are she/her/hers.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy making music, drawing, writing and training parkour.
